Downtown St. Petersburg’s trendy Beach Drive has seen upscale bars and eateries come and go over the past decade, but one of the stalwarts has been Cassis American Brasserie, a restaurant inspired by the cafes of Paris.
Along Beach Drive, Cassis American Brasserie closed Sunday and plans to reopen Friday in time for dinner with updated features including a remodeled indoor bar, a kitchen overhaul, a new sign and more.
Cassis revealed plans today for a significant remodel and transformation of the downtown restaurant. Seven years after opening on the corner 2nd Avenue North and St. Pete’s trendy Beach Drive, the principals of the French-American inspired eatery described the effort as a refresh with a side of efficiency, and each guest’s experience in mind.
After seven years in downtown St. Pete, a major remodel is headed for Cassis. The indoor-outdoor American brasserie will temporarily close its Beach Drive home base starting Sunday after brunch service, and then reopen on Sept. 22 ahead of dinner.
